SAN DIEGO – Cabrillo Credit Union and its partners haven'tforgotten Hurricane Wilma victims. Current members who live in theaffected areas will be granted assistance in the form of waivingloan payments, freezing loan interest accruals, and waiving feesand charges on those members' checking accounts. “It is unfortunatethat these natural disasters are happening back-to-back,” saidCabrillo CEO Robin Lentz. “We are happy to help in any way we can.”This isn't the first time the credit union has reached out to helpthe community. Earlier in 2005, Cabrillo CU offered a specialdonation program allowing holders of Gold MasterCardr credit cardScoreCardT points to turn them into a cash donation to help theEast Asian Tsunami victims. More recently, Cabrillo offered thesame assistance to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
