SAN DIEGO – Cabrillo Credit Union and its partners haven’t forgotten Hurricane Wilma victims. Current members who live in the affected areas will be granted assistance in the form of waiving loan payments, freezing loan interest accruals, and waiving fees and charges on those members’ checking accounts. “It is unfortunate that these natural disasters are happening back-to-back,” said Cabrillo CEO Robin Lentz. “We are happy to help in any way we can.” This isn’t the first time the credit union has reached out to help the community. Earlier in 2005, Cabrillo CU offered a special donation program allowing holders of Gold MasterCardr credit card ScoreCardT points to turn them into a cash donation to help the East Asian Tsunami victims. More recently, Cabrillo offered the same assistance to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
