NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Suncoast Schools has become the first financial institution to deploy Diebold's full deposit automation solution as the result of launching an extended pilot on the company's advanced function OptevaT ATMs. According to Diebold, Suncoast launched the first phase of its deposit automation pilot in October 2004 when it went live with Diebold's ImageWayT ATM solution for check imaging. The first phase included installing Diebold Opteva ATMs in the employee lounge at Suncoast's headquarters in Tampa, Fla. The newly launched extended pilot will introduce Suncoast's nearly 400,000 members to the technology. Among the features that will be included in the extended pilot, Suncoast will be able to take advantage of the balance of Diebold's deposit automation offering in addition to the company's ImageWay ATM solution. The deposit automation includes four components: Diebold's Intelligent Depository ModuleT; Bulk Note Acceptor; the ImageWay ATM agent, Xpedited by AlogentT; and the ImageWay server. Suncoast has $5 billion in assets and is the largest credit union in Florida. It is also the seventh largest CU in the U.S.
