SEATTLE – School Employees Credit Union of Washington says it will be converting its core processing system to the Episys platform from Symitar. The $612 million CU says it selected the system after a 24-month evaluation process. "Episys has the flexibility to support our credit union's strategic direction in attracting new members, and providing additional products and services through remote and electronic access," says Kristina Hanson, vice president of business systems at the 77,000-member CU (www.secuwa.org). SECUWA is currently an IntegraSys client, according to the NCUA Web site. Symitar serves about 600 credit unions and according to the 2005 Credit Union Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates, Symitar (www.symitar.com) has 13.2% of the data processing market share for credit unions over $25 million in assets, more than any single core processing unit.
