LATHAM, N.Y. – The New York Credit Union League's Card Services program, which provides credit unions in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut with credit, debit and ATM processing since 1986 has changed its name and logo. The organization, which will remain affiliated with the League, will now be known as Covera card solutions. Kimberly McCumber, vice president with Covera, said that Card Services had merely outgrown the name Card Services. "Over the past few years, we have focused on our strengths, expanded services to credit unions and offered more flexibility and value than ever," she said. Having outgrown our current identity, an essential component of our portion of our future plans called for a new name along with brand recognition." Covera said it derived the name from a blending of "co" which means together and "vera" which means precise and trustworthy. The name conveys more accurately that the organization can be a trusted partner in credit union card services.
