ARLINGTON, Va.-In an effort to help find jobs for those displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, NAFCU has created an online Hurricane Job and Resum Posting Service. The service – just click on Hurricane Relief from NAFCU's home page (www.nafcu.org) – is free to all U.S. credit unions and credit union professionals. Credit unions with open spots should send job descriptions to NAFCU Membership Coordinator Deepti Taneja at [email protected] and explain whether the institutions can offer any relocation services, such as help finding housing, daycare, etc, in the job description. Credit unions will also have access to a listing of credit unions professionals displaced by the hurricanes seeking employment. In turn, credit union professionals can post a resum or review job offerings. NAFCU intends to keep the site active for six months. It also has a link to Katrina Job Relief at www.katrinajobrelief.org, a free job listing service, for spouses and other family members.
