WASHINGTON – Name changes almost seem to be inevitable as credit unions continue to reassess their brands to align with an increasingly diverse membership. While many are opting to revamp their name to better connect with members, experts say credit unions have to make sure the new name is tied into their unique brand position and helps them stand out from the competition. According to the Callahan 2006 Credit Union Directory, when it comes to credit union names some words are still more popular than others. Here's a look at some of the commonly used words in CU names based on the number of times used.
