FAIRBORN, Ohio – myCUmortgage, a division of Wright-Patt Credit Union's wholly-owned CUSO, held its first annual conference for its CU partners on Sept. 27 and 28. The conference was organized to give attendees the opportunity to network as well as recognize outstanding performance in mortgage lending. The theme of the conference was "Ways to Increase Your Mortgage Volume." Speakers included representatives from Fannie Mae, CMG Mortgage Insurance Company, Wright-Patt CU, and a real estate agency. Presentations covered a variety of relevant topics such as Determining Your Market Potential, Fannie Mae Products Update, Time Management, Increasing On-line Mortgage Originations, and What a Realtor Looks for in a Lender. Also included in the conference were panel discussions featuring representatives from myCUmortgage CU partners who shared their "Credit Union Marketing Practices." myCUmortgage also used the conference as the backdrop to recognize three of its credit union partners for excellence in mortgage lending. Chaco CU was named "Originator of the Year" for the highest volume of closed mortgages; Buckeye State CU was named the CU with the "Most Improved Mortgage Volume" for the largest year-over-year volume increase; and Dynamic FCU received the "Rookie of the Year" award for the highest loan volume for a new partner. myCUmortgage President Tim Mislansky said the company held the conference "to help our partner credit unions grow their mortgage program so they could help more of their members become homeowners."
