The fees typically are $100 for each mortgage loan Alliant processes, and the $4.6 billion CU – formerly called United Airlines Employees CU – estimates the total money collected will be $15,000-$18,000 that will help build houses in areas ravaged by the hurricane. We’re in the mortgage business to help our members’ dreams of home ownership come true, said Alliant’s Real Estate Project Manager Tom Kokoszka, so we thought this would be the best way we could help. Alliant’s relief announcement is the latest in the hurricane relief actions it’s taken. The CU’s employees also collected $10,750 for the Red Cross Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund, the CU deferred loan payments to affected members in the region for six months and provided a minimum of $1,500 in unsecured loans to each.
