Why don't the credit union trade organizations bond with the major cooperatives in the country to fight the idea that cooperatives should be taxed? The story in the Oct. 12 issue on page 6 lists some big names with deep pockets -$131 billion in revenues. What if they felt that the non-taxable standing enjoyed by credit unions was in danger of disappearing? Would it be such a stretch that they would be next?
