MADISON, Wis. – UW Credit Union made giving to the American Red Cross Katrina Fund easy by using online technology. Members could not only transfer funds from their UW Credit Union account to benefit the American Red Cross but also the Salvation Army of Dane County to help tornado victims in Stoughton, Wisconsin. So far nearly 1,400 members have donated a more than $71,000. Over $61,500 will benefit Katrina victims and $9,600 will assist Stoughton residents. In addition, UW Credit Union has pledged $5,000 to the National Credit Union Foundation's Katrina Disaster Relief Fund. [email protected]
