LOS ANGELES -Pacific Resource Credit Union's $10,000 donation to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina is the largest donation ever made by the credit union. The American Red Cross received $7,500 of these funds to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those affected by the crisis. The remaining $2,500 has been donated to the National Credit Union Foundation's National Disaster Relief Fund. The Fund helps ease the financial and emotional burden of friends and colleagues in the Gulf Coast and other areas where Katrina caused substantial damage.
