OSI Canada Marks First Sale of FTI Financial Tools in Canada

GLASTONBURY, Conn. – Open Solutions’ north-of-the-border penetration effort marked another milestone with the first sale of its FTI Financial Accounting Suite to a pair of Canadian credit unions. They are Affinity CU, formed earlier this year by the merger of three credit unions with 28,000 members and 14 locations across Saskatchewan, and 10,000-member Grand Forks District Savings CU in Grand Forks, British Columbia. Connecticut-based OSI’s FTI Financial Technologies unit provides accounting software to more than 600 financial institutions in the United States and overseas and recently upgraded its Financial Accounting Suite to streamline accounting operations and improve financial management functionality, the company says. The software package includes general ledger, accounts payable and fixed assets applications. “The platform can be easily integrated with any core data processing system, meaning any credit union in Canada can take advantage of its extensive suite of accounting management tools,” says Blair Goulet, president of Open Solutions Canada.
