ARLINGTON, Va. – NASCUS Chair Linda Jekel, Washington Director of Credit Unions will host her first regional regulator meeting in December since being elected NASCUS chair last month. The meeting on Dec. 9 will follow the NCUA Region II Director's Meeting on Dec. 8. The NASCUS regional regulator meeting will continue the meeting series begun last year by Immediate Past NASCUS Chairmman Roger Little, Michigan deputy commissioner of credit unions. According to NASCUS, whenever possible the NASCUS regional meetings will be scheduled to coincide with the NCUA regional meetings. The agency announced it will be holding Regional Director's Meetings instead of an annual state regulators meeting in the spring of 2006.
