La Habra, Calif., – American First Credit Union has matched donations from 56 employees to donate more than $4,700.00 to The Salvation Army for relief efforts. In addition, American First CU has offered $350 each to more than 30 American First members living in the disaster areas to assist them with temporary living and housing expenses. Impacted members with existing credit union loans will also be able to defer their loan payments for a three month time period. Funds donated by American First CU will allow The Salvation Army to assess the unique needs of individuals and families, as well as put money back into the economy of those communities affected by the disaster.
