RICHARDSON, Texas – Texans Credit Union will be getting IP telephony, VPN and data center hosting services from SBC Communications for at least the next three years under a new contract, the company and credit union say. The combined services will provide a network for voice, video and data at the $1.5 billion credit union's 26 branches, the company says. Network integration and project management services also are included, as is a member contact center. “Our continued growth required us to find a provider that could lower our costs while simplifying our network to bring more efficiencies into the system,” says Greg Gallant, executive vice president and CTO for Texans Credit Union. “We're certain that SBC companies will deliver a highly reliable and seamless IP telephony structure to support our future endeavors,” he says.
