LENEXA, Kan. – Louisiana Corporate said last week that it plans to continue operating out of its backup site at U.S. Central until at least November. Louisiana Corporate CEO Dave Savoie said repairs to the corporate’s headquarters in Metairie, Louisiana have begun and he estimates a return by mid-November. He also noted that Louisiana Corporate is offering hurricane-related disaster recovery lines of credit available at zero percent in an effort to provide liquidity to those member credit unions affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. “We currently have $15 million available for disaster recovery loans and are giving priority to credit unions with disaster-related NCUA loan guarantees. LaCorp remains committed to assisting our members as they work to reestablish operations in South Louisiana,” said Savoie.
