DETROIT – Credit unions that thought they'd seen the last of the Big 3′s 0% financing offers need to think again. Now that Ford has discontinued its highly successful employee-discount program, the car manufacturer is offering a new cash incentive or 0% financing incentive option to car buyers through Jan. 4. Buyers can take advantage of the new plan for 2005 models for up to 60 months of financing. For 2006 models, Ford will offer cash rebates ranging from $500 to $3,000 on certain vehicles or interest rates as low as 2.9% for 36 months. Ford said the new incentive offering is designed to push the remaining 2005 model year vehicles off dealer lots while introducing new incentives on 2006 models.
