COLUMBUS, Ohio – Profound Communications Inc. President Tammy Holtzmeier has been named by Columbus Business First as one of Central Ohio's "Forty Under 40." The Columbus Business First "Forty Under 40″ program annually recognizes 40 individuals based on professional achievements, awards and community involvement. All recipients have achieved great success and are under the age of 40. "Being a part of this great group of business men and women in Central Ohio is truly an honor," said Holtzmeier. Holtzmeier is a 1994 Ohio University graduate, where she received a bachelor's of science degree in journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. She began her career as a marketer for a small credit union. With the blessings of her employer, Holtzmeier began providing marketing recommendations for credit unions and banks as a part-time consultant during her off time. Her company, Profound Communications, continued to grow as she climbed the corporate ladder of the credit union industry. At the age of 26, Holtzmeier was named CEO of a federally chartered credit union. The following year, her business savvy and experience had propelled Profound Communications into more than an off-hours part-time venture and she moved to Columbus to become a full-time marketing consultant. Today, Profound Communications has served more than 35 clients throughout the country. Holtzmeier has also been a guest speaker at various professional development events including the Women's Network for Entrepreneurial Training, Smart Marketing Education Series, Precision Printing's Leadership Symposium and the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.
