MEMPHIS, Tenn. – With over 700 new students displaced by Hurricane Katrina swelling Memphis City School rosters, Memphis Area Teachers' Credit Union has donated $1,000 to help school officials purchase more school uniforms. “We wanted to help support these unplanned expenses,” said MATCU SVP Judy Bell. “We are also a collection site for monetary donations for the Red Cross to help with overall hurricane relief efforts, but we wanted to do something that could make a difference at the school level too.”
