ARLINGTON, Va.-NAFCU Director of Political Affairs Murray Chanow said that NAFCU has had a handful of cancellations from Congressional Caucus attendees due to Hurricane Katrina. While the group still expects over 425 participants, Chanow said at least three cancellations are directly attributable to the disaster on the Gulf Coast. He added that he expects quite a few more as well as `no shows.' "I would imagine that the last thing on their minds is NAFCU's Congressional Caucus," he said of the credit union officials in the affected areas. NAFCU is offering a 100% refund to those members not able to attend the Caucus because of Katrina, Chanow said.
