LANCASTER, S.C. – For Bruce Brumfield, president/CEO of Founders Federal Credit Union, a $10,000 donation to help Katrina victims is close to his heart. A native of Bogalusa, La., Brumfield still has family and friends in the area. "Naturally, having grown up in Louisiana, this is a donation that is very near and dear to my heart," Brumfield said. "It is our corporate responsibility to contribute to our communities, both locally and nationally, and especially when it hits this close to home." The $1 billion Founders FCU donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross to help with aiding those who have been impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
