FCUL Service Group Partners with Accel

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – With consumer debt escalating to an all-time high of $1.8 trillion, the FCUL Service Group, Inc., has signed a partnership agreement with Accel Members Financial Management to help credit unions provide members financial counseling services. Designed to help curb losses credit unions have incurred as members run into financial difficulties, Accel Members Financial Counseling is a financial education and counseling program that emphasizes proactive education as a value added benefit of CU membership. Services range from personal and family budgeting, credit reports and reviews, setting and achieving financial goals to personal money management, and information on avoiding bankruptcy, foreclosure and repossession. As part of the deal Accel will also provide seminars around the state to credit union members whose credit unions sign up for the service. “The FCUL Service Group, Inc. is extremely excited about our partnership with Accel,” said COO Marvin Garland. “The goal of credit unions is to help people improve their lives through better management of their financial resources.
