WASHINGTON - Callahan & Associates' newest financial analysis tool, the Web-based interactive CUAnalyzer that allows credit unions to create multiple charts to benchmark performance of multiple criteria against industry averages among their chosen peers, recently added the option exporting charts and packets of studies to PowerPoint. This enhancement aims to speed the production of data-rich presentations suitable for boards and working groups using the charts and analysis the user has generated through CUAnalyzer, according to Callahan. "Credit union managers preparing educational presentations will no longer have to re-enter data into software such as PowerPoint or start their own presentations from scratch," saidScott Patterson, Callahan vice-president for e-commerce. "An entire presentation can be generated from CUAnalyzer with one click of a button." The $37 million Municipal and Health Services Credit Union is among those using CUAnalyzer to provide its directors with quarterly performance results versus their selected peer group. "It is quick and easy to use, but powerful enough to provide a bigger picture," said Thomas Miller, president of MHSCU. "The ability to spot both positive and negative trends at a glance puts everything quickly in perspective for our board members." With CUAnalyzer, users type in the name of the credit union being studied, then select a peer group, and finally the topics to be analyzed. Each chart generated includes a performance analysis which provides a written explanation in everyday language. There are other options for basic definitions and chart details, according to Callahan.
