I wish to clarify some points that your reporter, David Morrison, conveniently left out of his Web story, entitled, “Anti-Waste Group Did Not Contact NCUA Before Criticizing”. I told him that in addition to the various news reports I reviewed, including the The Hill, I had copies of the documents, including the letter the NCUA wrote to the credit union and the “boxed” disclosure. Therefore, I had NCUA’s side of the story. It appears your on-line poll agrees with our assessment that the NCUA regulation is “silly.” Elizabeth Wright VP of Government Affairs Citizens Against Government Waste Washington, D.C. (Editor’s Note: Credit Union Times stands by the Web story.)
