SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Security Service FCU has kicked off its 2005 Membership Drive Campaign, and this year it's doing things a little differently than in previous campaigns. In the past, SSFCU said the perception among non-members of membership eligibility in the CU was that it was limited to military personnel and their families. This, of course, is not the case with SSFCU, and the credit union's 2005 membership drive campaign is focused on bringing more awareness of credit unions, their services, and the ease of becoming a member. To encourage non-members to explore the benefits of CU membership, SSFCU is rewarding them as well as existing members, with a chance to win one of four cruises from now until Oct. 31. Existing members will receive an entry for each new qualified member they refer and who joins SSFCU. The referral will also be entered in the drawing. One cruise will be awarded each month from all eligible entries received at the time of the drawing. SSFCU SVP of Corporate Communications John Worthington said SSFCU believes "everyone should have access to the great benefits of credit union membership. Through this membership drive, more individuals will have an opportunity to explore the many options of financial products and services SSFCU has to offer."
