GLASTONBURY, Conn. – Open Solutions Inc.'s Canadian operation has won a three-year extension of its data services contract with Credit Union Electronic Account Management Services (CEAMS), which represents 49 credit unions in Saskatchewan. Open Solutions Canada, which was Datawest until it was acquired last October by OSI, has been providing core processing and other services to CEAMS credit unions since 1997. The new contract continues through 2010 and represents approximately $14.2 million in revenue to Open Solutions Canada for the three additional years of the contract, the company says. "We believe this contract extension further affords CEAMS and its members the opportunity to examine their business needs from a long-term perspective, and to determine what products and services will give them an advantage in an increasingly competitive marketplace," says Wayne Ginn, Open Solutions' vice president of international operations. CEAMS Manager Mark Borgares says the relationship with OSI gives his organization "access to system options unlike any currently available in Canada."
