MADISON, Wis. – David Marks will start his new role as chief investment officer of MEMBERS Capital Advisors in September. Marks previously worked as Citigroup Insurance Investments senior executive vice president and chief investment officer. While there, he oversaw $55 billion in global assets under management and led a team of nearly 300 people. His 35-year career includes experience in the strategic and tactical aspects of operating and running an investment business including bonds, common stocks, commercial mortgages, real estate, derivatives and alternative asset classes from a fundamental and portfolio management standpoint. Prior to Citigroup, Marks was chief investment officer/chairman of TimesSquare Capital Management, Inc. at CIGNA Investments Management. At CIGNA, Marks directly oversaw $43 billion of global assets under management. Performance was in the top quartile over 3-5 years in all actively managed asset classes, according to CUNA Mutual Group. “David brings strong leadership, experience, and expertise to CUNA Mutual. I know he can build on the legacy established by Mike (Daubs) and lead our investment performance in the future,” said Jeff Post, CUNA Mutual Group president and CEO.
