A growing number of credit unions, leagues, corporates, vendors, and other credit union groups have gotten into a bad habit. They regularly help themselves, for their own uses, to the original news product produced daily and weekly by the editorial staff of Credit Union Times. We do not consider this a compliment. What is read in the Daily News on our Web site and what is printed in every weekly issue is the property of Credit Union Times. It can be used by legitimate credit union organizations, but only if permission to do so is requested in writing. The worst offenders pass off our copyright protected content as their own. Others doctor up news items to fit their point of view. Some even carry related information regarding Credit Union Times, such as contact information that is horribly out of date. One CU actually ran a weekly publisher's column with their CEOs name and byline. When our editors discover such abuses they take action as necessary. -
