RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – For the third time in as many years, the California Credit Union League earned honors in the annual APEX Awards for Publication Excellence. This year, in fact, the League won for four of its publications including flagship publication Credit Union Digest; its electronic Public Advocacy newsletter; and for the design of the May 2004 cover of Credit Union Digest. League publications Credit Union Digest, CU Connections, CU Today! and Center Ling received an Award of Excellence in the Total Publications Program category. In addition, graphic designer Natalie Moreno won an Award of Excellence in the Design and Layout category; and League Director of Information Technology John Drago and Web Applications Specialist David Sneed received an Award of Excellence in the Web and Electronic Newsletters category for Public Advocacy Profile, the League's newsletter for its public advocacy program. The APEX awards received 4,942 entries this year. Of those, 1,523 received Awards of Excellence in 11 major categories. There were 281 entries in the Campaigns, Programs, and Plans category; 661 entries in the Newsletters category; and 530 entries in the Design and Illustration category.
