I do not usually write letters of comment because most people are not interested in hearing from an old has-been. In this case I would like to agree with the views of Dean Mahon and Dennis Cutter in their letters to the editor in your July 6 issue. As a former CEO of the World Council of Credit Unions, I can tell you being able to speak multiple languages is not the key factor to lead the international organization, although helpful. The ability to hire people with knowledge and skills of the different world cultures is paramount and Pete Crear knows that only too well!
