MEMPHIS – Credit union data processor Share One has made its first ever acquisition. Share One has acquired the credit union contracts of core processor Information Control Systems, Inc. based out of Overland, Kansas. Included in this deal are 19 credit unions in eight states, ranging from $2 million in assets to $85 million. ICSI has been around for 25 years and was created by credit union data processing veteran Don Sobek, with his son Mike now as the president. "Dave and Mike looked at several companies and felt a company the size of ours and with new technology, made the most sense," said Don Conrad vice president of Share One. Share One's objective is to eventually covert the 19 CUs over to its system, though it will not force clients to do so, said Conrad. Share One's core system was completely revamped a few years ago. It's now a Windows-based system utilizing a sequel server database. ICSI clients are also on a Windows-based system, and Conrad said they will be able to use their existing hardware to run Share One's system.
