RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – The New York State Credit Union League has become the 27th league to put the names of its credit unions on the California Credit Union League's Match Up Web site that allows consumers to find a credit union they may be eligible to join by using the bilingual, online search engine. With the addition of New York, the database – www.howtojoinacu.org – will include information on field of membership criteria for 6,176 credit unions in 26 states and the District of Columbia – two-thirds of the CUs in the U.S. NYSCUL President/CEO William Mellin said, "It's extremely valuable for consumers to have a central resource they can use to match them to a credit union. We're excited that New York residents will soon be able to use Match Up to quickly and easily find the right credit union for them." Visitors can reach the Match Up site directly or through links on the Web sites of participating state leagues. Besides New York, the other credit union leagues include Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.
