ALEXANDRIA, Va. -Three college students who have been interning at Navy Federal Credit Union as part of the African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) and Latino's on the Fast Track internship program attended the July NCUA Board meeting. They were greeted by NCUA Chairman JoAnn Johnson and board member, Deborah Matz. Kymberly Connor, Christian Sey and Maritza Guevara, spent the morning in Alexandria, receiving an overview of what NCUA means to the credit union industry. The AACUC was created to increase global awareness of the credit union movement by adding the focused perspective and energy of credit union volunteers and professionals of African American descent. The LOFT program was created through the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in partnership with Fannie Mae to provide students hands on experience working in the corporate world. This is Navy Federal's fourth year participating with the AACUC and first year participating in LOFT.
