RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Mark Lowe, a public relations specialist with the California Credit Union League for nearly 10 years, announced June 30 he was resigning effective July 15. Lowe said he planned to pursue a master’s degree in philosophy at Virginia Tech with the goal of teaching college. “I’ll be a teaching assistant as I read dense, technical papers and treatises, write papers, and generally think profound thoughts and solve the most intractable problems in the philosophy of science,” he wrote in an e-mail announcing his plans. He said the league was seeking someone to fill his position.
