BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Adena Whitman has joined the Alabama Credit Union League's advocacy team. She was hired as their new Director of Public and Political Affairs. Whitman's focus in her new position will be internal and external communications, public relations and fundraising for different products such as the League's Charitable Foundation and Political Action Committee. She has more than 15 years experience in the communications field most recently with Gulf States Paper Corp. as internal communications/special events manager. Prior to that she worked as managing editor for both Firstdoor Inc., Atlanta, Ga., and Vulcan Publishing Inc., in Birmingham.
