ARLINGTON, Va. – The U.S. Department of Labor is seeking feedback as it prepares for a retirement savings summit scheduled for March 2006. The National Summit on Retirement Savings seeks to address a number of timely topics to promote a greater interest in saving for retirement. The Department of Labor is seeking feedback from the public as it prepares its agenda on retirement savings education and the effect on the savings rate; program ideas to reach low-income workers, women, small business owners, minorities, youth and older workers; ideas for partnering with public and private organizations; ways to measure results of outreach and media on retirement savings; and success stories and model programs. Comments are due to the Department by July 5. NAFCU members are also welcome to send their suggestions to [email protected] for inclusion in the association's response.
