RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – For the first time, the California Credit Union League will be supplementing printed copies of its membership directory and buyer's guide with online versions. The League said putting its 2005-2006 membership directory and buyer's guide online "will give our members the opportunity to search for member credit unions and CEOs online with multiple search criteria." In a released statement announcing the new format, the CCUL said "credit unions are entering a new era in which the widespread availability and use of debit cards and online bill pay, and laws like Check 21, are rapidly decreasing the amount of paper handled by credit unions and their members in conducting financial transactions." The new online version of the membership director and buyer's guide is being offered with that in mind. The League plans to continue to provide a printed copy to credit unions that don't have access to the internet.
