PASADENA, Calif. – Wescom Credit Union's season-long sponsorship with Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Angels kicked off with a ceremonial first pitch thrown by Wescom CU Mission Viejo branch teller Cassie Stein (pictured here walking with Angels player Joel Peralta on T-Shirt Night at Angels Stadium). Over 42,000 fans sported a free t-shirt with an Angels Baseball logo on the front and Wescom CU and ESPN radio logos on the back provided by the credit union. "It was a terrific sight to see a stadium full of fans wearing the Wescom logo," said Wescom CU President/CEO Darren Williams. "We've had very positive feedback from members, the board, and even non-members." In the weeks leading up to the Angels vs. Chicago White Sox game, Wescom CU received numerous mentions on Angels' television and radio broadcasts in connection with T-Shirt night. The credit union was also credited on the Angels' printed schedule and on its Web site. T-shirt night is only part of the sponsorship deal- during a half-inning of each Angels home game, an animated Wescom CU advertisement with Wescom's tagline, "Banking you just can't get at your bank," appears on the stadium scoreboard and on the electronic message board that runs around the upper deck.
