LAS VEGAS -Attendees will be saying “Danke Schoen” when they are treated to a private concert by none other than “Mr. Las Vegas” -Wayne Newton during the 28th Annual National Directors’ Convention in Las Vegas, August 2-5, 2005. In addition, one lucky credit union and its entire delegation of attendees will win a backstage photo opportunity with Wayne Newton after the concert. Credit unions that send at least three board members are eligible to win the drawing. Beyond the entertainment, credit union experts including Tom Glatt Sr., Patrick Adams, Rory Rowland, Juli Lynch, Dennis Dollar and Rex Johnson will be featured speakers at the National Center for Credit Unions conference. The concert, which is co-sponsored by the NCCU and Strunk & Associates, is open to all registered convention attendees and registered guests at no additional charge. Deadline for credit unions to secure seats is June 30. Newton was recently named one of the “top 3 entertainers of the century in Nevada and around the world” (along with Frank Sinatra and Elvis).
