LAKEWOOD, NJ. – Credit Union Virtual Assistant wants to make it easier for credit unions to educate their members on identity theft by launching a new e-course. Information is broken down into bite-sized pieces and delivered to members in 12 separate lessons. Each lesson is delivered via e-mail once a week (or more frequently) and can be customized with the credit union logo as well as contact information. Marketing messages can be added, too. Members sign up for the course on their credit union’s Web site. “The goal of this course is twofold,” said CUVA CEO Laura Enock. “Our first objective, of course, is to educate members so that they don’t have to deal with the nightmare of identity theft. But we also want credit unions to have access to low-cost e-mail marketing. By offering a financial tip of the week to those who sign up for the course, credit unions can contact their members weekly via e-mail. The course helps them build a list they can later market to”. Credit unions pay a one-time licensing fee to use the content. Visit www.cuva.us for more information.
