HARRISBURG, Pa. – A Webinar about eCU Technologies' online deposit honor system attracted 75 participants from 55 credit unions, according to the tech CUSO for Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union. The May 26 session, the first for the unique product called UPost, focused on the development of the service and its benefits, which include deepening member relations with a cost-saving additional deposit delivery channel. The UPost service allows members to post their own deposits online and then mail in the check. Credit unions using the service led the Webinar, including Greg Smith, CEO of $2.3 billion PSECU; Malinda Ma, e-commerce manager of $344 million Southland Credit Union in Downey, Calif.; and Tonya Sacrison, e-branch manager at $232 million Deere & Company Credit Union of Moline, Ill. “Our primary goal was to educate credit unions on the concept of UPost and how it can have a positive effect on their membership and overall profitability,” says Alan Brunner, COO for eCU Technologies (www.ecutechnologies.com.)
