WILLISTON, Vt. -New England FCU and Web design and development firm Level 9 have created L9, a new technology CUSO that provides credit unions with targeted online educational services and advanced Web-based applications, including multi-language implementations. "We've recognized a void in the marketplace for affordable, high caliber Web solutions that meet the needs of today's credit unions", says John Dwyer, EVP at NEFCU. "Credit unions are finding that if they can effectively communicate, educate, and transact with their members online, they are more likely to strongly compete in today's financial market. Commitment to quality within this channel pays off," says Dave Mayette, President of L9. This new CUSO brings a suite of already tested solutions to the market, including solutions that support multi-lingual credit union Web sites, which is becoming more important for CUs trying to reach out to the underserved. "We created this utility to promote effective communications with emerging and disenfranchised markets," said Mayette. L9′s targeted online educational solutions suite includes a Financial Literacy Glossary, a Financial Literacy Article Creation and Management System, Life-Events Education System, and a Needs Based Marketing System that tracks user behavior and appropriately promotes cross-selling opportunities that assist members in determining the best financing options for their unique financial situation.
