MADISON, Wis. – Former CUNA Credit Union CEO Richard Flynn has died at the age of 86. Flynn spent approximately six years as the CU's CEO up until his retirement in 1980. He was only the CU's second CEO, succeeding the CU's first CEO Bob Kneebone in 1973. Flynn was also an early employee of CUNA Supply Corporation, one of the early off-shoots of what is now CUNA & Affiliates. He is survived by his wife Helen, three children, and nine grandchildren. A mass was celebrated May 17 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Madison. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be given to Nazareth House or to Blessed Sacrament Church in Madison.
