BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – Affinity Federal Credit Union has been singled out at one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey. The credit union placed sixth among the 25 companies in the “large-sized companies” category. “At Affinity, our employees are our most valuable asset and we want each of them to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal obligations,” said Affinity FCU Vice President of Human Resources Catherine Ricker. “To be recognized as a great place to work because of this philosophy is truly an honor.” This is the inaugural year for the program, which is presented by NJBIZ, New Jersey’s only weekly business publication, and The Best Companies Group. The awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in New Jersey, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses. The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program is made up of 50 companies split into two categories: 25 medium-sized companies (25 – 199 employees) and 25 large-sized companies (more than 200 employees). “The companies included in the Best Places to Work in New Jersey list truly represent a cross section of the New Jersey economy,” said Chad Beatty, publisher of NJBIZ. “From professional services firms to health care to communications, these companies represent what’s so special about business in the state.”
