LOS ANGELES – Education Loan Resources (ELR), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of Southern California Credit Union, and MRU Holdings Inc., a private student loan company, have reached an agreement to provide MRU Holdings private loan products to ELR customers. Under a three-year agreement with ELR, MRU Holdings will offer customized private student loan products with a focus on broadening availability of private student loan funding to ELR borrowers. USC Credit Union's ELR is one of the fastest-growing federal student loan originators in California, generating more than $100 million in loan volume in 2004. "ELR is among the most respected names in the student loan business. We are proud that they have chosen to partner with MRU to provide MRU's private student loan products to their customers and look forward to developing a strong partnership with ELR," said Edwin McGuinn, Chairman and CEO of MRU Holdings.
