MAX Federal Credit Union, Montgomery, Ala., long-time Vice President of Lending Robert J. McCormick has died at the age of 57. McCormick had over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. McCormick was an alumnus of Eastern Michigan University earning a bachelors of science degree in General Business. He then entered the United States Air Force and was Honorably Discharged. He was an Aerospace Communications Operations Specialist. In February 2005, MAX named an award in his honor, the Robert J. McCormick Award. This award is bestowed to a MAX employee who has made a meaningful difference to MAX and its members. McCormick was the first recipient of this award. McCormick is survived by his wife, Bonnie. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, all donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
