ROCHESTER, N.H. – Holy Rosary Credit Union has stepped up its communication efforts to better serve and connect with members. The credit union has recently teamed up with an interactive language translating service that allows foreign born members to conduct important financial transactions in their native language. Here is how it works. The member and credit union employee connect with the translating facility via speakerphone, allowing the member and employee to conduct business with the help of the interpreter. Members will have access to the translation of more than 150 languages during regular business hours. “This language translating service is the perfect way to communicate with those members in our community for whom English is a second language,” said HRCU Branch Administration Director Rosemary Shields. “The program has been piloted and trialed in French, Greek, Philippine, and Indonesian. So far this system has been easy to use and very helpful.”
