ST. PAUL, Minn. – Check printer Deluxe has added the secondlargest CU – State Employees' CU of N.C. – as a client, a client itlost about 12 years ago. The $12 billion CU has more than onemillion members. Apparently Deluxe's presence in North Carolinaplayed a role in the decision. “We appreciate that Deluxe hasfacilities in Greensboro, N.C., and throughout our agreement, theywill support employment in the state,” said Sue Douglas, SVP andCOO for the CU. “We anticipate the relationship will have apositive impact on our economy as it offers additional employmentfor North Carolina workers,” said Jerrie Lattimore, administratorof the North Carolina Credit Union Division of the CommerceDepartment. SECU was previously with Harland. It's been withHarland for about 12 years, and prior to that it was actually withDeluxe for about 20 years. The CU puts all its major vendorcontracts up for bid every three or four years.
