GLASTONBURY, Conn. – Open Solutions Inc. has won its first Canadian credit union system conversion to its credit union core processing product. Community Savings, based in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, serves 110,000 members and has $1.8 billion (Canadian) in assets. Open Solutions entered the Canadian market about six months ago when it acquired Datawest Solutions, Inc. "We recognize the Canadian market has different regulations and business practices. Open Solutions has not just modified and existing products. It has designed a powerful integrated system to meet Canadian banking needs," said Open Solutions' SVP and COO Andrew Bennett.
