OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Paragon Consulting Group, LLC has recently announced three conferences for credit union leaders. The Supervisory Committee Institute, co-sponsored by the Washington Credit Union League will be held August 8-10 at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront Hotel. With the demand on Supervisory Committee members rising given mounting regulations and fraud concerns, the conference provides in-depth, intensive training for volunteers covering topic ranging from the principles of asset-liability management and how to interact effectively with external auditors and examiners, to the impact of major regulations affecting the operation of the credit union and how to establish effective governance processes for the Supervisory Committee. Institute participants will receive a comprehensive notebook complete with audit resource links, session notes and sample forms. The Voluntary Leadership Institute, which will be held January 18-21,2006 at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii revolves around the concept of “recharging your mental batteries” and features national speakers such as Stedman Graham and Jim Likens who will discuss success strategies and the impact factors such as the economy, demographics, technology and product life cycles on credit unions. October 3-6, 2005, the Partners in Exellence Institute held at the LaCosta Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California takes a new holistic approach to executive development by helping credit union leaders “from the inside out”. Featuring such speakers as Dr. Deepak Chopra, who will present a session titled Enlightened Leadership, activities center on stress reduction, relaxation and overall lifestyle improvement as a way to expand the ability to lead change.
